Judges’ notes

  1. Nov. 14, 2026: Pratt receives the King of Comedy Award and a Silver Blimp.
  2. One category nomination: favorite male animated voice from a movie, for his role as Mario in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
  3. Taylor Swift has six nominations; Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter have five each.
  4. Three new categories join the 2026 KCAs: watch party, onscreen duo/trio and clutch player.
  5. 8–9:30 p.m. ET: first CBS broadcast, alongside Nickelodeon, from Television City in Los Angeles.

Chris Pratt will receive the King of Comedy Award at the 2026 Kids’ Choice Awards on November 14, taking home a Silver Blimp statuette (a special career honor) for his work in comedy. The Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks and Recreation alum will receive the honor at the show officially titled CBS Presents Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Nickelodeon’s announcement said the tribute celebrates Pratt’s career “before facing Nickelodeon’s iconic slime.” One Silver Blimp is certain. The Orange Blimp (a category award) remains in play.

Pratt could also take home an Orange Blimp for “favorite male animated voice from a movie.” His nomination recognizes his role as Mario in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and he remains in contention for a second statuette on November 14.

Pratt said:

“I’m incredibly honored to receive Nickelodeon’s King of Comedy Award. I spent most of my childhood trying to make people laugh to get out of trouble. Now apparently you can win awards for it. Pretty sweet deal.

Comedy has always been a huge part of my life, and making people laugh is one of my favorite things in the world. Especially kids. I’m grateful to Nickelodeon and CBS for this honor. And if I get slimed, just know I’ll be sending them my dry-cleaning bill.”

What does Pratt’s selection change?

Pratt enters November 14 with one award already determined and one nomination still in play. If “favorite male animated voice from a movie” goes his way, he will collect both a Silver Blimp and an Orange Blimp.

Nickelodeon has already confirmed the King of Comedy Award. The Orange Blimp still depends on the category result.

His Way of the Warrior Kid, an adaptation of Jocko Willink’s bestselling children’s novel, premieres November 25 on Apple TV. Pratt also produced it.

How does the nomination field look?

Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominees with six mentions. Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter follow with five each.

The Kids’ Choice Awards will hand out awards across film, television, music, gaming, sports and other categories. The nominated movies and series include:

  • The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
  • Toy Story 5
  • Wednesday
  • Wicked: For Good
  • The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants
  • KPop Demon Hunters
  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Producers also introduced three categories for 2026, expanding the competitive slate with three distinct fields. It now resembles an awards checklist with three extra boxes:

  • “Watch party: kids’ choice”
  • “Favorite onscreen duo/trio”
  • “Favorite clutch player of the year”

When and where can fans watch?

Alex Warren will host the ceremony. Musical performances and other celebrity appearances will be announced at a later date.

Live from Television City in Los Angeles, the ceremony runs from 8–9:30 p.m. ET / 5–6:30 p.m. PT on November 14, 2026. CBS will carry the show for the first time, alongside Nickelodeon. In the U.S., Paramount+ Premium subscribers can stream it live. Paramount+ will make the ceremony available on demand the following day for Premium and Essential subscribers.

Done + Dusted produces the Kids’ Choice Awards. For Pratt, one Silver Blimp is secured, and one Orange Blimp nomination remains in play.
